The present study investigates the transformative potential of integrating blockchain technology into micro-credentials within educational landscapes. Micro-credentials, namely concise certifications of specific skills and competencies, hold significant promise in addressing evolving workforce demands. The application of blockchain aligns closely with the foundational principles of micro-credentials, enhancing transparency, authenticity, and decentralization in the credentialing process. By establishing immutable and tamper-proof records, blockchain ensures the integrity of micro-credentials, while reducing reliance on centralized authorities. Furthermore, blockchain facilitates secure storage and seamless sharing of micro-credentials across educational and professional systems, supporting flexible learning pathways and enhancing recognition for academic and employment purposes. Through an examination of the principles and benefits of micro-credentials, alongside the integration of blockchain technology, our study highlights the transformative potential of this innovative approach in shaping the future of education and workforce development.
