Abstract

Fashion industry has increasingly considered the potentially negative impact of clothing and accessory production processes on the environment. This generalized awareness on ecological issues is pushing fashion companies to prioritize environmental issues and sustainability in any production process. With this perspective in mind, the present contribution defines a new strategic analysis model that evaluates the environmental impact of all ‘Emme Evolution’ productions and collections. The methodology implements a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) model, a logical tool estimating the carbon footprint of collections, and a strategic decision-making model for specific environmental impacts. The empirical results have primarily defined a new approach to environmental sustainability and management logic.
